Theyre a young team, still alot of inexperience there. Blown leads are gonna happen.

i bet if it was Gudas with that hit instead of Kulikov you would be preaching suspension right now...amazing how your tune changes when a Sabers player does it...I am not defending any of Gudas's hits but call it straight...a hit to the head is a hit to the head...don't sugar coat it..he deserved a 5 and a game and a couple nights off with out pay

Voracek's head leaned into the check so its his fault

Watch Dale Weise hit on Holzer. I think the Kulikov hit is almost the same. Should be 3 games based on that precedent.

Kulikov hit was late, questionable location, most likely face first contact. He will get a call from Pronger this week. Glad that Jake wasn't seriously injured or concussed. Hits like that are what the NHL wants to remove from the game. The Sabres played it too safe in the third, and it cost them a point. This team without Eichel and Kane seems kinda slow. They miss them without a doubt.

Kulikov is a joke. Don't know what Murray had against Pysyk, but he will pay for that trade possibly with his job.

Go back and watch the replay again. Kulikov did not come from one side of the ice to the other to take out another player, as Gudas does. Kulikov was headed in that direction and didnt have many options to avoid contact so he instinctively squared up for the check. Voracek, unfortunately, was in a vulnerable position which made it look worse than it was.

BS. It was a high hit.

It wasnt as late as the announcers were preaching last nigh, but he squared him up and delivered a vicious hit.

He could have avoided it if he wanted.

I dont mind having a physical player, he needs to hit lower though and make a better decision.

Suspension should soon follow. I would say 1-2 games.

He was a 5-7 D-man who was not progressing.
He was a slightly better version of TJ Brennan.

First off, the hit was shoulder to chest, the only reason a penalty was called was the fact that Vorachek's helmet came off, he should buckle his chin strap, it wasn't charging as Kulikov glided into the hit, so the fact that the official called the penalty wrong made it obvious he felt he had to call something, but apparently the official didn't need to call the nasty slash that Simmonds laid on Kulikov's wrist seconds before the Reinhart penalty.
Kulikov will be suspended because he plays for Buffalo, if he played for Montreal like Shaw, he would get off with a firm tongue lashing.

STOP. It was a vicious high hit. He made contact with the head. You cant do that.

He will get suspended for a game or two.

Sadly all fan bases blindly defend players and think the league is out to "get them"

There is always some mixed in with sensible fans. Some fans bases seem to have more delusional fans than others though. This thread seems to bring them out of the wood work.

defnitely worthy of a suspension. not a late hit at all, it was less than a second after hte puck left, but it was direct contact to the head.

take off the tinted glasses and really look at it.

I can't believe you "don't know if there was contact to the head" on that hit, look at the replay and watch it. Dirty hit, needs to be out of the game.

but it wasn't late, the fact that the announcers were preaching that as if it was away from the puck or 10 seconds later was annoying.

He left his feet and made contact with the head. It is the exact same hit that got Dale Weise a 3 game suspension last week.

I knew there was a reason I stopped coming into this thread.

There is nothing Murray has done so far where I can say he is a good manager. Bad trades, Bad contracts, few good prospects .... Say what you want about Darcey ... he never had an open checkbook and I think he did the best with the resources he was given... I kinda wish he was still around

The first view of the hit made it look like it was clean and through the chest. As soon as they show Voraceks front, you can clearly see Kulikov went straight UP with the shoulder into his face. He could have easily stayed low and delivered the hit through the chest.

Disagree on it being a late hit though.
